What is Vacuum splint?
Vacuum forming splint is used for manufacture of dental guards, mouth guards, night guards and teeth whitening trays on a vacuum forming machine. The Thermo-Splint is made entirely from thermo-sensitive acrylic material and is softer but more resilient than the traditional hard-acrylic splint.

Soft splints can be made to fit over the upper or lower teeth, and are helpful in the treatment of mild to moderate bruxism. As soft splints for teeth are for the most part more convenient than hard splints, they are likewise useful for working on patient consistency.
Hard splints are typically manufactured from hard acrylic materials, and are made to fit over the upper or lower arch. Hard dental splints are fabricated with a flat occlusal plane to ensure a tight fit. This also provides even contact with the opposing teeth, which is particularly useful for protecting dentition in patients with moderate to severe bruxism, or in patients who frequently grind or clench their teeth. Hard splints are typically designed to be worn at night, and help to keep the jaw in a neutral position to reduce pressure. Hard splints will wear down over time, and may chip or fracture in extreme bruxism cases. As such, hard splints should be assessed for wear and replacement in regular patient check-ups
Essix retainers are a removable type of retainer, which are clear and removable plastic trays or molds that fit over your teeth. These are entirely transparent trays and are less noticeable than traditional wire retainers. Retainers are dental appliances that are typically made of metals, acrylic, plastic, or wires. While the most popular types are removable, some are fixed to your teeth. In terms of function, they either replace or supplement other orthodontic solutions like braces.
Bleaching trays are plastic retainers made using models of your teeth that hold whitening (bleach) gel. Each tray is custom-made to fit over the user’s upper and lower teeth “like a glove.” To perform treatments, the user places whitening gel in the trays and then seats them over their teeth according to the whitening gel manufacturer’s instructions
Night guards are plastic mouthpieces that are designed to fit your teeth and jaw naturally. They are used to protect your teeth from destructive grinding and jaw clenching. Usually, they are worn at night while sleeping to stop any unconscious jaw clenching and teeth grinding.
